Last week I thought I'd bought a pair of fitted single-bed sheets because I'd shredded the last good one with a combination of restless leg syndrome & sharp toenails.
Last night I opened the 2nd pack and found it was a flat sheet, so I actually have a set.
Got a job on Friday to help a friend replace dodgy phone cabling in his house. He can’t connect to the new broadband in the area because an existing telephone extension cable is breaking down. I used to work in telecoms & still have a cabling licence.
A few months ago I'd considered an Unlimited 12 month TunnelBear VPN covering 5 devices at a monthly cost of US$4.99 paid in one lump of $59.88.
Instead I have chosen to pay $49.88 for the same package under the latest deal.
That was weird. 1Password 6 on the iMac was totally refusing to sync to Dropbox even though the MacBook Air had no trouble doing so.
Restarted the iMac & 1P synced OK when directed to the correct Dropbox item.
A friend of mine tried to annoy me with bird puns, but I soon realised that toucan play at that game.
Teacher: Jimmy you’ve spent the whole lesson drawing a pair of stoats!
Jimmy: Sorry Miss, I’m two-weaselly distracted.
Tomorrow I’m going to open up the time capsule I made when I was a kid.
I can’t wait to see how big my puppy is now!
Good news for insomniacs!
Only 8 sleeps until Christmas!
I know a bloke who is mute, he communicates through embroidery.
Sew to speak.
I recall attending a meeting of the Mac User Group many years ago when the topic was a stand-alone app called Keynote. This app predated the iWork suite which initially included Keynote 2 with Pages 1.
This means I’ll be able to get iWork onto the Pismo G3 & the G4 Ti-Book.
Just found an Apple iWork ‘05 (Pages 1 & Keynote 2) installer CD. Now being installed on the Tiger partition of the 12-in G4 PowerBook. I’m yet to relocate the Office ‘98 CD I need for its activation code.
Booted the 12-in PowerBook into Tiger, intending to use Office ‘98 in Classic on some salvaged documents from a floppy disk drive.
No go: app wants a 10- digit code entered. This mean I have to locate the installer CD.
Success! G4 12-in PowerBook now dual-boots into Tiger & Leopard. When in the former, I have access to OS 9 stuff via the Classic environment.
Project: add a 25 GB partition on the 12-inch PowerBook’s HD to allow for OS X 10.4.11 installation. Done. Now creating a disk image of another Mac’s 8 GB Tiger installation. I plan to use Disk Utility to restore that dmg to the new partition.
Nope. That didn’t work. Ice hasn’t improved ankle pain, commencing anti-gout treatment.
Ice pack time. This time it’s for the previously-good left ankle
It was rather noisy here about five hours ago. The neighbour is a mechanic & he was working on a very loud, very big V8 engine so loud it seemed like thunder. Then there WAS thunder, frighteningly close which totally dwarfed the engine noise.
