Checked the # at work. They have some entrance activity today. In the 50s F outside. There are dozens of dead yellow jackets on the ground around the hives. More than I've usually seen. A great battle was fought.
Not easy to tell in this shot, but the bees are hanging around the edge of the hole at the top of their hive, to stay warm. This morning I took that spare box on the top off, so they're down to two brood boxes and one super. #
The work bees were looking good this morning. They're hot, and some are low on stores. Removed their varroa treatments and removed extra space. I'll probably start feeding them again. Was concerned about #3, but checked and it has healthy brood. #
